The Tree Bee Society’s Beekeeping Taster Sessions are ideal for those who are looking to become beekeepers, but would like a bit more hands on experience before they commit. At our Taster Session you will;
- Be introduced to Beekeeping Equipment
- Discuss hive safety
- Receive a Hive Demonstration
- Handle a live colony of Honeybees
- Discuss various aspects of the Hive
We have Taster Sessions available for both Individuals or Families* so you can encourage the whole family to take part! All our Taster Sessions are run by experienced Tree Bee Beekeepers and last approximately one hour. Participants who enjoy their Taster Session are welcome to inquire about our Beekeeping Courses.

Tree Bee Blossom Honey is a lovely blend of nectars from all kinds of plants and flowers. From the beginning of the Spring till the end of Summer this Honey is taken from hives that have been left to forage on whatever takes their fancy.

Conflict Bees Nesting in Urban Dwellings
Designed specifically for the Pest Control and Facilities/Property Management Industries, this course aims to inform about the identification, nesting habits and behavior of the most common pollinator species of
Bumble and Honeybee that may be encountered as a conflict species.
This informed knowledge gained from this course can then be used to decide the best course of
action for each species, such as information advice and guidance for cohabitation, interim seasonal
remedial action or the eventual live removal of the colony by suitably trained and qualified
Conflict Honey Bees Nesting in Urban Dwellings
This course follows on from the introduction training Conflict Bees in Urban Dwellings and is
designed to teach pest controllers how to become approved and competent in live honey bee
removal techniques using the Trap Out method of removal from cavity walls and voids. This
method works without causing any harm to the bees in a way that keeps the colony alive,
sustainable and viable.
Effective Wasp Control Techniques for Non Professionals
This course is designed to teach individuals effective wasp control techniques using nonprofessional
grade insecticides. This course will not qualify the candidate as a professional pest
controller or for the purchase, use or storage of professional grade industrial strength insecticides
that are illegal to use without the appropriate licenses.
